Support Engineer, WordPress (Remote)
As a Support Engineer, you love helping people.
We are looking for Technical Support Engineers with strong expertise in WordPress & PHP who are comfortable working night shifts.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Technical Support Engineer to join our team and provide top-notch support for our WordPress plugin. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress and WooCommerce, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues at both a user and code level. This role involves direct communication with customers via live chat and support tickets, debugging website issues, troubleshooting conflicts, and providing code-level solutions when necessary.
You will work closely with the development team to escalate complex issues, contribute to product improvements, and ensure our users receive a seamless experience. If you enjoy problem-solving, have strong communication & English skills, and possess a solid technical background in WordPress, this role is for you!
Job Responsibility
- Provide customer support via live chat and tickets.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Debug websites and identify plugin conflicts, errors, and performance issues.
- Offer code-level solutions, including PHP, JavaScript, and CSS fixes.
- Take ownership, document, and escalate complex issues to the development team.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with developers to improve plugin stability and functionality.
- Stay up to date with WordPress trends and best practices.
Requirements
Technical
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for debugging.
- Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Familiarity with MySQL databases and website performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with WooCommerce and its extensions.
- Experience using browser developer tools and debugging logs.
- Ability to analyze log files and PHP error messages.
- Familiarity with APIs, hooks, and filters in WordPress is a plus.
- Experience with WP-CLI, Git, hosting environments, or performance optimization is a plus.
English
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
- IELTS or TOEFL will add extra value.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Support
- Strong support philosophy.
- Experience handling live chat and support tickets professionally.
- Ability to write clear documentation and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Bonus Points for Familiarity with
- Proven track record providing support for WordPress plugins.
- Experience with WordPress development (eg themes, hooks, filters, plugin API, etc).
Working Hours
8 pm – 5 am ( Night Shift )
Working Days
Weekly: 5 days.
* Your office schedule is 5 days a week, but you need to provide 2 hours of remote support on one weekend day.

It doesn’t matter where you went to college or what your CGPA was as long as you are smart, passionate, ready to work hard, and have fun.
Salary
- Salary: 25,000 to 50,000 BDT (Depends on Skill and Experience)
