The carried forward leaves will be used first in the following year. Carried forward leaves are valid for one year only. At the end of the second year, only the current year’s entitlement (10 days) will be carried forward, and any previous balance will lapse.
Example 1:
Casual Leave entitlement for 2025 = 10 days
Availed = 4 days
Balance = 6 days (carried forward to 2026)
Total CL in 2026 = 10 + 6 = 16 days
Example 2:
Casual Leave entitlement for 2025 = 10 days
Availed = 0 days
Carried forward to 2026 = 10 days
Total CL in 2026 = 20 days (10 + 10)
