Carry Forward Leave

  • Eligibility
    • Casual leave is eligible for carry-forward.
    • Annual, Sick, or any other leave (excluding Casual leave) cannot be carried forward.
  • Carry Forward Limit
    • A maximum of 10 unused Casual leave days can be carried forward to the next calendar year.
  • Utilization Period:
    • Carried forward Casual leaves must be used within the new calendar year; otherwise, they expire.
  • Utilization Priority:
    • Employees will enjoy their carry-forward leaves first before using the current calendar year’s Casual leave entitlement.
  • Expiry or Payout:
    • Unused Casual leave days within the carry-forward limit will be available for use in the next calendar year.
    • No payout for unused carried forward leave days if an employee leaves the company.

Example Scenario for Employee ‘A’:

  • 2023 Entitlement: 10 days
  • Casual Leave Taken in 2023: 4 days
  • Remaining at the end of 2023: 6 days
  • Carry Forward to 2024: 6 days
  • Starting 2024 with: 6 carried forward days plus the regular entitlement of 10 days.
