- Eligibility
- Casual leave is eligible for carry-forward.
- Annual, Sick, or any other leave (excluding Casual leave) cannot be carried forward.
- Carry Forward Limit
- A maximum of 10 unused Casual leave days can be carried forward to the next calendar year.
- Utilization Period:
- Carried forward Casual leaves must be used within the new calendar year; otherwise, they expire.
- Utilization Priority:
- Employees will enjoy their carry-forward leaves first before using the current calendar year’s Casual leave entitlement.
- Expiry or Payout:
- Unused Casual leave days within the carry-forward limit will be available for use in the next calendar year.
- No payout for unused carried forward leave days if an employee leaves the company.
Example Scenario for Employee ‘A’:
- 2023 Entitlement: 10 days
- Casual Leave Taken in 2023: 4 days
- Remaining at the end of 2023: 6 days
- Carry Forward to 2024: 6 days
- Starting 2024 with: 6 carried forward days plus the regular entitlement of 10 days.
